Lie on your back with your head on a pillow.
Take your opposite hand with some cream on your fingertips, and place it on the affected side of your neck.
Turn your head away from this side a little.
Run the cream across the muscles on this side of your neck.
Work your way from the muscles below your jaw line, all the way down to the tissues just above your collar bone.
Focus on the spots that feel tender, but be careful not to press too firmly around this delicate area.
