Lie on your back with your arms by your sides.
Move close to the edge of the bed, but leave some room so you can turn to your side without falling off the edge.
If you are turning to your right, bend your left leg.
If you are turning to your left, bend your right leg.
Turn to your side and bend both legs.
Keep your upper arms close to your sides and bent at the elbows.
Place the hand of your upper most arm on the bed in front of you.
Move your legs off the bed.
Start to move into a seated position by pushing with your hand from the bed.
Help with the other arm.
Make sure to keep your elbows close to your body.
Imagine that you have a quite tight cylinder around your upper body and you should keep you elbows inside the cylinder.
