Walking up stairs:
Stand at the bottom of the stairs.
If there is a rail hold onto it with one hand.
Bring one leg onto the first step.
Take the other leg onto the second step.
Take your starting leg up to the third step.
Continue alternating legs until you get to the top.
Walking downstairs:
Stand at the top of the stairs.
If there is a rail hold onto it with one hand.
Step one leg down onto the first step.
Take the other leg onto the second step.
Take your starting leg down to the third step.
Continue alternating legs until you get to the bottom.
