Sit to stand - help with hands as needed (adaptive - BKA)

Sit upright in a chair with your hands on the arms of the chair and feet flat on the floor.
Bend your sound leg to bring your foot towards you.
Bend forward at the hips, keeping your gaze straight.
Push through your sound leg to stand up.
Help with your hands as needed.
Bring your feet in line a shoulder width apart and gain your balance.
When ready, step backward until you can feel the chair, then reach back with your hands and slowly lower yourself back down into the chair.
