Resisted shoulder flexion to horizontal in standing

Secure one end of an exercise band to hip level.
Stand with your back towards the band attachment.
Hold the other end of the band in one hand with your arm by your side.
Take a step forwards so that your arm moves slightly back and the slack is taken off the band.
This is your starting position.
Keep your elbow straight and raise your arm forward against the resistance from the band, leading with your thumb.
Return to the starting position in a controlled manner.
