Sit in your wheelchair with your feet resting on the footrests, and ensure the brakes are applied.
Loop a resistance band around your hands under tension.
Raise your arms above your head with your palms facing forwards.
When ready, keep your trunk upright and then push your arms apart with your elbows straight under the resistance of the band.
Your hands should remain close together.
Hold this position for the duration as instructed by your therapist.
