Overhead band pull apart (Adaptive unilateral upper limb amputee)

Overhead band pull apart (Adaptive unilateral upper limb amputee)

Attach one end of a resistance band to your residual limb securely.
Hold the other end of the resistance band in your sound hand.
Start with your arms raised above your head with the intent of your palms facing forwards and some tension in the band.
When ready, keep your trunk upright and then push your arms apart out to a “T” position.
Your arms should be slightly in front of you so that the band does not make contact with your head.
Return to the starting position overhead in a slow and controlled motion.

Required equipment: Resistance band
