Mobilising with crutches with prosthesis - 3 point gait - step to - non-weight bearing - one crutch at a time (adaptive - BKA)
Stand upright on your sound limb with a crutch in each hand and your prosthesis raised above the floor.
Starting with the crutch opposite your sound limb, bring your crutches approximately one foot in front of you.
Move your weight onto your arms and move your sound limb forward to bring it in line with your crutches.
Continue this sequence, maintaining an upright posture.
