Stand upright with a crutch in each hand.
The majority of your weight should be on your sound limb.
Your therapists will instruct you on how much weight you are allowed to put through your prosthesis.
Starting with the crutch opposite your sound limb, bring your crutches approximately one foot in front of you.
Step your prosthesis forwards in line with your crutches, followed by your sound limb.
Continue this sequence, maintaining an upright posture.
