High row into shoulder external rotation

High row into shoulder external rotation

Attach the middle of a resistance band to a point at head height in front of you, or ask a partner to hold it.
Stand with your feet hip-width apart, or slightly wider.
Hold the ends of the resistance band in each hand, keeping your elbows straight and your arms lifted forwards, palms facing down.
Step back until you feel some tension in the band.
When ready, gently draw your shoulder blades back towards each other.
Then, pull your elbows back, keeping them high, whilst simultaneously rotating your hands to point upwards towards the ceiling.
Control the movement as you return to the starting position in a controlled manner.
