Deep neck flexors in sitting (Cervical flexion/deep neck flexors strengthening with diagonal movement patterns, sitting on stability ball)

Deep neck flexors in sitting (Cervical flexion/deep neck flexors strengthening with diagonal movement patterns, sitting on stability ball)

Sit on the ball in a good position and stabiliser muscles on.

Gently nod your chin as though rotating around that pivot point going through your ears, without tensing your side neck muscles.

Use the muscles at the front of your throat instead.

Hold your chin and head in this posture while you take first your eyes then followed by moving your neck in a diagonal movement pattern looking up, back and to the left, followed by forward, down and to the right.

Change the direction of the diagonal movement pattern so that movement becomes a cross pattern.

Repeat these diagonal movements to build muscle endurance and neck mobility.

Required equipment: Ball - large, Stability Ball
